It’s time for the blue moon festival in the smurf village and everyone is rehearsing. Meanwhile, Papa Smurf uses magic to look into the future, in which Clumsy Smurf accidentally gets everyone trapped by the evil wizard Gargamel! He’s horrified, but can’t bring himself to tell the village smurfs about the vision. That night, Gargamel shows up and chases off the smurfs. Clumsy runs off to a special waterfall that teleports him, Gargamel, and some other smurfs who followed him to New York! Now, with the help of married couple Patrick and Grace Winslow, they must stop Gargamel and find a way back home.
This movie is infinitely amusing and hilarious throughout. Completely suitable for young and old, it’s great to follow the smurfs’ new adventures and see how they react to the present day world. I saw it just a couple days ago and could not have been more pleased. I can’t help but recommend this movie to anyone who asks, because the absolutely great humor would get anyone hooked. And it’s also a very heart-warming tale, if that’s what you’re in to. You should really go and see it.
